How We Spiced Up Express Indian’s Website

The Challenge:

Express Indian, a Chester-based family business delivering mouth-watering, authentically cooked (then frozen) Indian meals across the UK, needed their website to reflect their business. Their old site was clunky, hard to use, and didn’t do their meals any justice. So, they gave us a shout for a complete overhaul.

The Brief:

Our mission? Make it modern and functional, without losing the familiar touches their existing customers loved, and streamline the customer journey so people could get from craving curry to checkout fast. No one likes a complicated checkout process when they’ve got a mad hankering for tikka masala, right?

The Work:

Our in-house wizard and design boss, Conner Davies, spearheaded the project. Here’s what we tackled:

Photography: First order of business was to create a bank of drool-worthy food shots that actually made people want to eat.

Simplicity: We ditched the long explanations of how it works and replaced them with four words and icons that get straight to the point.

The Personal Touch: It’s a family-run business, so we made sure the family got a spot on the site. Now, customers know who’s behind their delicious meals!

Fast Filters: No one’s got time for scrolling. We added quick, easy-to-use filters like dairy-free, gluten-free, and vegan, so people can find what they want without any hassle.

Brand Familiarity: We kept their logo and colour scheme, so their customers would still recognise them. It’s all about keeping those OG vibes alive.

Once we nailed the look and feel, our web developer, Noor, brought it all to life. And voila, a fresh, functional site that’s ready to impress.

The Results:
